Responsibilities

HazTek is hiring a Safety Specialist in Irving, TX to support a remodeling project consisting of demolition and HVACs installation. If you’re passionate about making an impact, driving compliance, and building a proactive safety culture, we want you on our team!

 

  • Oversee all aspects of the project ensuring OSHA compliance
  • Review and approve contractor Safety Plans and ensure alignment with project and site EHS requirements
  • Deliver pre-construction safety workshops and establish clear safety expectations with contractors and the project team
  • Conduct and coordinate EHS audits, inspections, and joint safety walkdowns
  • Review heavy-lift plans, particularly activities with potential impacts to ongoing operations
  • Facilitate the pre-start-up safety review (PSSR) by area/process/equipment

  • Participate in project closeout reviews and provide the E&PS or applicable functional/construction safety leadership with insights regarding project safety performance
  • Ensure all personnel wear their personal protective equipment (PPE)
  • Daily safety audits and inspections
  • Inspect power tools and heavy equipment

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5+ years of construction safety experience required
  • OSHA 30 in Construction and First Aid/CPR required
  • Prior experience with small and large scale demolition required
  • Strong knowledge of construction safety standards
  • Must have experience in Fall Protection, Scaffolding, Steel Erection, and Excavation
  • Excellent verbal and written skills

Pay Range

$90,000 - $115,000

Travel | Relocation

Local Only - No travel, per diem or relocation is offered for this opportunity
